I have an ebay vagcom cable. Not the same as that one, but same software. They all are.

I run a fully registered (cracked) version of 311.2 though, rather than a trial version of 409.1.

You will be able to read fault codes, clear them if any appear and see the engine reading via measuring blocks.

Vagcom is the best tool I have to be honest, it's awesome.
