Title: Coolant temp sensor

Hi folks needing to change the cts but not sure where it is

the car is a golf gti 16v the 2.0l

any help is appreciated

It's on the side of the head. The one with  brown on black wires to the plug (on my pic, it may be different on yours)

Did you get a genuine CTS? Or is it from GSF or the likes?

Got it from unipart it's basically a car sales places everythings trade prices only paid £12 for it thought that was quite reasonable

You would have been better off going to VW for it. I bought mine from VW about 6 months ago for £24, but because it's VW I know it'll last a long time, I've had problems with cheap parts in the past.

Decided against fittin the cheap part will go to vw this week and get it from then want them to vag-com the car anyway
