They're W5W bulbs.

I bought these non error ones and they work fine for me.

How on God's beautiful Earth do you get those bloody sidelights out?
With the help of my wife's slender fingers I managed to get the headlight bulbs out and changed. Can I get more than one fingertip on the sidelight housing? Can I f**k!!!

I've got a pair of shiny new Philips Blue Vision w5w blubs sat on my passenger seat and I think that's as good as it's going to get.

Stupid sodding modern cars. A mate of mine has just bought an E30 235i, you can get the bulbs out of that 80s classic easily enough!!

Could be worse, you could drive a Megane - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eZWqU9X6PR4

Ironically they use a MK5 Golf in comparison.

It's off with the bumper for the sidelights, I think!  :undecided:
They have to make their money somehow.

Not seen the MK6 siddelights but if they are anything like the MK5 ones then they are really stiff. I ended up using a pair of pliers to pull them out.

What a bloody pallava.

Darned if I'm taking the bumper off just to get at a couple of tiddly £4.99 bulbs.............yet

Maybe pliers at the weekend, still don't know how I'm even going to get them in there. At least if I break something I have an excuse for a Xenon conversion!!!

Extracting teeth is not easy. You need to numb with an injection, both the car and yourself.

They are a bit stiff (  ), you just need to pull hard, they don't twist like the headlights.

I managed it, and i'm not a small bloke, some scuffed knuckles to prove it.

Do you need to take the Headlight Washer covers off before removing the bumper ?

I can't even get my fingers in the hole far enough to get hold of the bulb holders, I can just about touch the thing with my fingertips. If it was a case of yank on the wires I'd be okay!

My luck never runs that smooth Herr Doktor. It'd take me several hours and most of the paint missing to get that done!
