Hi Guys & Gals
its been a while since i posted on this forum but its like meeting an old friend again.
Recently ive added a few additions to my car and managed to get some pictures today.
i had a set of AP coilovers fitted with eibach adjustable top mounts and some nice chunky hubcentric spacers, and i also found a lovely set of 18" Sportec Mono 10s which i think look awesome.
ive still got a few little things i want to do with the car but atm im really happy,
hope you like them

Cheers for the comments guys appreciate it!
I don't want to make it lower because it would be undrivable and I would prefer to give it a good thrashing on the B roads then having it sit on my drive looking pretty lol
-
an expensive buy or a bargain ??
-
ive had the car just over 2 years now and yeah it was a good buy at the time. they hold there value very well but im not looking to sell anytime soon.
ive had three Mk2's two of which where GTi's so ive always been a golf man but when the R32 got released i knew i had to get my hands on one when i could afford it.
-
Those wheels are nice  Lovely car man
-
Yep, really lovely car  Always loved them
And I'd go a touch lower on the rear especially
-
If it's setup to be "Driven" with 100% confidence, I'd leave it alone. That's how I want mine. :afro:
-
Beautiful, looks just right, maybe just add some light smoked tint to the windows.

Its been a while since i did a little update so here goes,
The car has been running spot on for the last 3 months i took it round Bedford autodrome on a track day last month which was pretty epic, the car has unbelievable grip! i did destroy a wheel bearing though and hub which was pretty annoying but all part and parcel of track days i suppose.
I gave the car a super clean today using my G220 polisher and coated it with 3 layers of R222 wax which is awesome stuff, my mate took some pics of it on his iPhone because his SLR ran out of charge, he has informed me he has only adjusted the contrast as the originals where lacking.
Hope you like the pics,

Thats gutting mate, tbh its a nightmare to run especially with the fuel costs at the moment i just about see 18 to 20mpg around town, i try and only use it at the weekends as my toy, i tortured myself slightly today because i went and had a look at a mint Evo 7 with a few choice mods taking it to 400bhp and i was really contemplating part exing mine but i just couldnt i love it to much.
-
Evo 7 with 400BHP.
And you thought the R was expensive to run.
-
Sexy motor and Im definitely feeling the wheel choice.

And you thought the R was expensive to run.
i chatted with the owner for a good hour about it and he says its all a myth regarding servicing costs etc, as long as you change the oil regularly which i would do anyway as i do this with the R you will be fine, he said it does 18 to 20 mpg which is the same as mine. obviously parts could be slightly more expensive but this is the risk you take i suppose.
-
Love you car mate perfect in every way

thats the only thing i dont ,miss and yeah with the price of fuel i think i would only be able to run it at wkends as well! saying that its kind of gettign like that with the mk2! and thats only a 1.8 16v  but would save me a ton in petrol costs
