Title: Advice needed!! First fuel guage then mileage counter issues (trip?)

Hi all, 2 problems, dunno if they are related, an advice would be appreciated!!!

1. Fuel guage went down to near empty although i had 30 quid in there. it sometimes comes up again but then goes straight back to near empty, any ideas??

2. My mileometer all of a sudden yesterday changed, it now doesnt show mileage just says trip above miles counting upwards. i read on here that someone knew how to change the mile counter to a speedo by doin something with the ignition but mine just changed on its own! any ideas?

1) faulty sender, easy way to check pull the wire off and earth it out, if the gauge goes up then you have a sender problem, if not the gauge is at fault.

Not really but cheers, that hack only seems to do the right hand digi-display. Its sorted now, i just disconnected battery for a while and when i reconnected it it seemed to have reset!

Gonna have a look at the fuel sender etc now!!
