No. 16v has larger bore, you will need a reducer.

The bores are different but if its coming straight off the downpipe it should fit i was running a vr6 exhaust much bigger bore with de cat and middle box removed with no problems. that was on my 8v some people will say no some will say yes i know it will from the downpipe so long as you have the flange type which either turns or is solid cant remember which way round. If your after a system i have a decated magnex stainless steel system for the 8v all welded solid no blowing apart from abit of mid box rattle nothing serious straight fit twin exit about 2" double pipe back box?

How much of the exhaust are you changing? From the down pipe? From the cat? Just the backbox?

the other question is which middle box is fitted (mine had a 16v one fitted by vw! and i bought an 8v exhaust and had to return it as I wouldn't fit!)

i dont actually know what mid box is fitted to mine as i dont know the difference between the 8v and 16v box?
was thinking just a cat back but if i get carried away then the full thing.
