Title: 2 litre,8 valve headgasket set question

Hi all.Just wondering if anyone knows what the differences are between a full headgasket set for an 8v 2E engine and the later AGG engine.I have an AGG engine and i want to get the head off this summer for a rebuild and some mods.My mate has a new headset for a 2E that he did'nt use,just wondering if it's of any use to me ?.Thanks.

pretty sure most of the gaskets are the same, if not all. only difference afaik is the head gasket itself is fibre on 2e, and metal on AGG. inelt/zaust/rocker gaskets at least are the same.  up to you if you want to use a fibre gasket on your engine, the engiens are basically the same and you dont hear of 2e engine blowing their gaskets all the time. just make sure its a good quality kit
