I have just bought some "hella" twin bulb headlights to fit on my mk3 golf 1.6 cl.
The power source cable connector is different on the new headlights does anyone know how to solve this problem?
Many thanks Will

I guess you mean the plug, if so you need to chop you plug off and replace it with a later one or make a adaptor loom.

Ok, thank you.
Do you have any idea where i can get a later adapter?

Scrapyard and cut the plugs off a later car.

i had this problem. if i were you i wouldnt go through the hassle of butchering your wires. if your going to a scrap yard, take the whole set of wires that connects to the lights indicators and horns and just replace your old one.

Isn't there a connector/adapter you can buy that just plugs into your existing loom and then into the lights.
Quote from BoneyBradley "but you can simply replace the short wiring loom (from light to connector on the front panel) for twin lights do dont worry about the plugs being different"
Hope this helps

Usually on the mk3s Ive had the plugs the same but in some cases wouldnt plug in or lock in if this is the case theres like a inner sleeve inside the plug just get a flat headed screw driver and pop it out and try again unless as you sais its completely different which I havent seen that before

Yeah ive never heard of this problem before.
I will try the flat bladed trick and see if that works, if not i may have to stick my basic lights
Cheers dudes
