 As robz said, wack it up for about a grand but be prepared to either wait a while for the right person to come along or negotiate on the price a little - it's not a brilliant time to try and sell a car.

When is a good time to sell ?? If the car is reasonaby priced and worth buying it will sell. I sold my 8v last October within 2 days no problem. They are selling now but only for a good price (good to the buyer).

I'd imagine most people's wallets/credit cards are still feeling the after effects of christmas spending...

I agree with you Dean ive sold this year so far 3 cars and they went quickley as long as the price is fair and the car decent enough shouldnt be an issue. The cars that are not selling are the type of cars you get on ED38 where they have pissed £5000 on it and expect to get £5000 back for it just dont happen. As already said try what you feel you need to get back for it if that fails have a good look around at simlar spec cars and try it from there and go with ebay as Ive never not sold a car on there forums like these dont really bring much tbh usually people just telling you how expensive it is and you wont get that for it etc etc.
-
Didnt think it was worth that much (good thing!) mine is pretty much exactly the same and didnt realise it was worth that much tbh. I thought nearer the 600 mark  Hope you get close to that mate, starting to look good for decent mk3's then!

Yeh, just need something a little less hard on the wallet :/
Looking at an 54 MGZR 1.4+
Fingers crossed and thanks for the info!

An MGZR a little less hard on the wallet.....the money you spend replacing the head gasket could be money spent modding the Mark 3
-
lol, The head gasket aint a problem as ive done HG before and am on a Motorsport Engneniring course where our rally car is an MGZR :)
Pluss they are the neicest hot hatch (Bar Golf and RS) :)
-
If you want one of them, make sure you hold out for a good one and dont rush buy. Majority of the 1.4s are owned by 17 year old boys who boot the sh!te out of them and tbh, the engine is pretty weak to start with, being an MG/kitted up Rover!

Oh! should have read the update before I posted, u obviously know far more about them than me so disregard
-
Yeh, well im in no rush, would like the facelift model :)
