Title: New member to the forum from the aircooled scene!

Hi Guys,
I'm Alex, and just bought myself an old MK3 '95 8V GTI
Its not perfect but it will get me from A to B when i'm restoring my '66 Beetle
what i normaly use for my daily but need a bit of welding and TLC.

so a few questions then!
Central locking isn't working all the time, from the drivers door it sometimes lockes everything and sometimes it doesn't,
Rear tailgate lock is stuck and doesn't lock , can't turn the key and doesn't lock with central locking, solenoid is moving the metal brace but nothing happning.
Thats it for now i think.

Welcome

CL - maybe a leaky pipe, runs on air. Also check pump in offside rear of boot.

thanks guys. and thanks Len, i'll have a look at it when I get time.
Will try to upload some pics of my ride. its red!
just changed the side indicators from the standard orange to clear ones, looks much better already.
