I'm in the process of fitting some electric UV Recaros to my Mk2. I think that they may have come from a Corrado originaly as they have two motors and heated seats. The motors I am connecting up to Y/1 on the fuse box with a 20A inline fuse but I was told that the heated seats should be connected to D/9. D/9 is already connected to something and it doesn't look like a particularly substantial cable so I was wondering if there was any reason why the heated seats couldn't also be connected to Y/1 with a 10A fuse?
The original heated pads have been replaced with a simpler affair which just turn on and off and are controlled by a thermal cut-out. I was going to switch those individually using two HRW switches turned upside down as that looks the part :) .
Any thoughts/suggestions would be gratefully received.

on mk3/corrado there are like jumper blocks for various wires on the D plug so you can plug loads o stuff in. you dont really want to plug em into the Y socket cos that would mean they are always live.
if it was me id pinch a D plug out of a mk3 golf in the scrappy along with all the jumper blocks, then splice this in. you could just splice the heated seat wire into D3, D/5, D/9 or D/11 though ;)

Damn, too late. They're fitted now so I guess I'll just have to put up with them. Thanks for the offer though :) .
