Right i have a bit of a problem with my v6 4 mo golf it runs ok on short journeys BUT if i travel or use it for more than 30 mins none stop i really sturggle to start it after its like theres no fuel cause it will start breifly and if i i feather the throttle i can keep it going and eventually it may clear and run ok !?
Any ideas ????

this was happenin in my 1.8t sorry cant help you as i never found out what the problem was the engine seized :cry:but not from that pickup pipe was blocked
-
after you have run the car and stopped it are you getting fuel to the cylinders????
check that you are getting spark and fuel at the engine...
-
check for spark.. check for fuel pump priming..
-
sounds like crankshaft sensor problems, get it scanned
-
might sound long shot but could it also be blocked up fuel filter.. only about £5 to get :undecided:
-
that would affect it from first start up as well not just after its fully warmed up..

+1 or the fuel pump relay
-
So where would i find the crankshaft sensor ? Would it be by the bottom pully ? cause i have a oil leak of which i need to get sorted ! Could this be cause by oil on my sensor????
Cause i will be getting the oil leak sorted like asap!
