Ok so had a search but there is nothing I can see. I have been getting masses of torque steer recently, especially if planting it up a hill! Its only an 8v so surely shouldnt be that bad! The car is lowered but not sure on the make of the coilies as they were added before I bought it. Pretty sure allignment has been done as I have owned it about 4 months now and had no uneven tyre wear. (not sure if being lowered would make a difference but thought I better add it). Only performance mods are a scorpion twin 2.5 exhaust cat back which again was there when I bought it. I have added a Piper-x panel filter about 2 months ago, and modded my airbox and put a cold air feed in recently. It has become much more evident recently (since I put the cold air feed in to be honest) and that has seemed to make a big difference to responses, but surely not enough to induce this much torque?! Not sure if I have answered my own question with that, but could something that has worn on the steering/suspension cause it instead? Lots of pot holes down this part since the begining of xmas with all that weather, and I have been caught out in the dark on a couple of occasions is all! Any suggestions please!

Start by getting the camber / track checked and adjusted.

It won't be torque steer I assure you
As Wayne said, get the camber and tracking checked as they're most likely out.
-
Thanks for the quick response! Ok cheers, I will try to take it in early next week and get it checked out. Anyone know of any reputable places in Plymouth that could do it?
-
Unfortunately the only place with a proper alignment machine is Pro Tyre. They are c*nts, rob you and, yeah just utter arseholes!
I won't recommend them, but if needs must! You can get tracking done at most places, I'd go see Corin down at National on Plymouth road (near the old Megabowl in Plympton).
I now do my own camber and tracking, that's how much I hate them.
Oh and they charge £15 a corner for camber (only fronts can be done) and £25 for tracking. You get a printout of all the angles on your car including the final thrust angle. Bad thing about there setup is if your rear toe is out a little it sends the final thrust out too. If you use the string method you can get the thrust angle straight.

Ok cheers LL. Will give the string method a go tomorrow and see how I get on doing it myself. If I dont get much change I will have to be ripped off then I suppose! Cheers all!
