Title: Auto choke wont cut off

Hi ive got a carbed 1.8 cab and it the auto choke wont stop it decides sometimes to work but in general its revving about 2000rpm i tried to adjust the idle but when it does work the engine then dies(obviously!)
Any ideas????

Sounds like the coolant channel o'ring in the inlet manifold has degraded and clogged itself up.  Common fault on carbed models, whip the inlet manifold off and replace it, takes a couple of hours to do.

You need a long thin extension socket with a hex bit on the end, make sure you can get to all 6 bolts before you try though :)

You live anywhere near Bracknell?
