Title: n75 problems (what are symptoms)
Post by: gti genty on 04 February 2011, 22:01
aup lads i just wanted to no what the symptems are of a n75 valve going down, the symptons i have is in fourth and fith it splutters and judders, but today i pulled it into the garage and put a mitivac on it to pull a vac to the turbo while revving it and while doing this i suddenly started to smell a burning smell like burning carbon, so off i went and test drove again no splutter or popping at all drove like a train so what i thought happened was that the waste gate on the turbo had carboned up and therefore making it hard to open or close. so now i am a happy bunny as it is driving nice

but just wondered what are the actual synptons of the n75 valve going cheers gti genty.........

lumpy boost
boost dropping off quickly or erratically
over boosting
not boosting
randomly jerking
limp mode

these things can also be caused by other parts!

MAF
COIL PACKS

best thing is to get it plugged in mate.
