am i right in thinking i must remove all the stuff around the gear stick and hand break?
removed all the screws i can see in the glovebox and under it but seems like theres one screw on the wall, were it connects to the centre console (right hand side).
any help please?

quoted off another site...
took mine out yesterday to fit ipod adaptor, easiest way I found to tackle it was to whip out the centre console aroud the gear lever first , its only six tx20 screws, and then there is a tx20 screw underneath the heater panel, remove this and the three inside the glove box and the three underneath and it should just pull forward (disconnect the glovebox light plug of course!) giving loads of access to sort out and hide audio wires.
hope that helps :)

i'm sure i just removed about 4 torx screws under my glovebox and lifted the whole unit straight out.....

think it depends on the year, i had two screws hidden under the trim that goes around the gear stick. anyone know how to remove the port which vagcom plugs into? guesing its the vagcom port anyway. under the heater controls

The port is n clips, just pops out backwards. I took my glovebox out at the weekend. 3x t20 torx top and bottom, gearstick trim and bottom part of centre console out to reveal the bottom torx and i was there
