Title: 5 door not opening all doors from fob
Post by: squirrelGTi on 04 February 2011, 13:29
Hey,

The Mrs has a small issue with her GT.

When she presses fob once, drivers door opens fine.

I thought when you press it twice all doors open?

It appears that we have to press it 3/4 times to get all the doors to open. It's on ever the passenger side, rear door that's an issue.

She only has the small MDF display, so i guess if i needs to be reprogrammed its a vag com job?

Cheers
Darren

Sorry update to the problem.

The other half says that it sometimes doesn't unlock from the button inside the car. If you press it a second time it normally unlocks.

Could it need oiling or something?

My button to unlock the passenger door inside mine, stopped working recently was just a loose connection behind the switch, all sorted now.  May need the fob reprogramming.

Check spare fob

Also you can program the car with VCDS to open all 4 doors with 1 press.
