Title: stupid question probably but here goes.....

how do i take the handbrake handle off of my Mk2 golf? Not sure about prizing the thing off with a screwdriver! How does it come off? its just the hand grip i want off

there is a little clip underneath where the other bit joins the grip part. i cant remember if you have to push it or pull it buthave a fiddle witha screw driver for leverage and it'll pop off.

thanks mate i got it popped off now, any ideas where to get a nice fitting gaitor for it now?? fed up of the sturdy plastic look  :tongue:

funnily enough my car came with a leather handbrake handle and a leather outer sheath - and i have to say i've never seen anywhere else sell them. it also has black suede inner door handle pulls!

the handbrake can just about be seen in this pic
