hi all, my golfs lowered 40mm on koni springs at the moment, and appears to be nosediving slightly when looking at the car side on. i know its not a problem and believe me ive seriously considered coilovers, but now ive decided on trying to find a 60mm spring kit and just using the rear springs. problem is that i cant find any for my 1.8t. does anyone know where i can get some? also im wanting to uprate my shocks, but when looking for something like spax i am having no joy either. can anyone help? thanks

cut the springs, if there already stiffened then should be ok to shave a few mm off. wouldnt recommend it for standard springs tho

Better to fit a complete kit really.

Please don't take this the wrong way,but that is some of the worse advise i've ever seen on here
To the op,if you ask some of the suppliers out there nice enough they may sell you bits separately, give the guys at Venom a call and ask if they can do just the rear springs and adjuster set up from a pack of coilies. It may or not work but i do know of one person who managed to blag it.

ive done it in the past, jamex springs are the same coils with the extra piece cut off for different drops, tho they are a crap make i know

Not sure if i misunderstood you or not.
Are you telling me that Jamex use the same rated spring for all their set up but just cut some off to make them lower?

Cutting springs is daft and unsafe.

i worded mine wrong, my bad, i meant ive used a set of jamex springs, cut them, tried them, then bought proper 60mm and noticed no difference at all. was on my astra, one of those weird cars where the fronts need to be lowered a lot more than the back to look level
