Title: will removing centre box affect emissions for mot?

hi all, did a search but mot never cropped up.

just wondered if removing it affected emmisions in any way? and how much louderdoes it make it? dont want the missus moaning if she hears me down the street, lol

and is there anywhere that sells such a piece? or is it a hand made jobby..

Will not affect emmisions and yes will be louder.

you may of course ask, well,  i keep getting a leak at the bracket between cat and that bit of pipe to centre box,  the previous owner has abused the cat abit and the pipe isnt perfectly round as should be, so was thinking next time i get the bracket sorted instead of having that pipe and centre box, just to do away with them both and just have a pipe to back box.
and if it sounds a bit sportier then alls good :)

in a perfect world i probably need a new cat, but as this one is working ok, well was at last mot july 2010 seems a shame to replace it

I've had my middle box removed, didn't make it any louder but it rev'd more freely... :)
