g'day peeps.
After having my 20vt revo'd, i have noticed a "dumpvalve-esque" noise from the turbo.
I hav'nt installed any diverter valves or dump valves, but as superb as the noise is, i couldnt help wondering if it normally does this after a remap?!?!
Any advice would be lovely.

You would still have the stock diverter valve (it's just a plastic diaphragm jobby from bosch) and now that your car is running a decent amount of boost thanks to the revo, its quite normal to be able to hear it venting.
The time to worry is when the venting noise turns into a fluttering, which means the diaphragm is split and its time to upgrade !

thats just it, it starts off as a chirp when its cold, gradually turning into the dumpvalvey noise. But it doesnt happen every time i drive it?!?! odd.
so if it does need upgrading, i am leaning to the k04 unit, but how much work to the engines internals needs to be done, and how much can i get away with paying??
thanx again.
