thank you

weird that i wrote yesterday about crash compen, and then today the cheque arrived! so now plans is brakes first, want to upgrade to the 312 setup, anyone know of any caliper carriers going cheap? gonna be looking at scrap yards AGAIN this weekend, might find some other toys (i hope)

then its alloys sorted and coilovers on, not gonna bother with any performance bits for now, maybe just a panel filter

doh, just out of interest, how much did he sell it for?

been waiting all day for this to dry

and found a place that will sand blast my alloys for 15 quid a wheel!

bad news, one of the alloys on now got a nail in it, went to get it repaired and the nail has gone through an old repair patch, so now the tyre is no good and ive got the spare on

thanks, i thought id like it more than i do, hopefully not look as bad once wheels are done and theres a bit more red to tie it in

cant decide what to do with front, dont wanna debadge but dont want it staying chrome, might black the grill and spray the vw red, but then it might start looking like a scrap yard part.

anyone got any ideas?

I say don't do it... would look rough on a car like yours... maybe do shadow painting like this

Will tie in with what you're doing but not OTT. :afro:

grrr, got a puncture, went to get it repaired and the nail has gone through an old repair, now tyre is useless, so now i have to pull my finger out and get the alloys sorted, but now i have to sell my k03s to fund the tyres. pissed off a bit  car looks so depressing with the spare on

I love the wheels but I can't help thinking the all red rears don't really tie in with the rest of the car now. Personally i'd go with either darker rear lights or some red detailing on the wheels :undecided:

100% agree some darker rear lights would suit much better

Standard smoked jobbies from a Gti or GTTDi? Just the inner indicator and reverse are smoked like on my missus car. I ain't got a pic but same lights and keep the smoked/black/red theme going and are OEM

There already gti ones fitted, lol, not really a fan of dark lights, the pic just makes them look brighter, i did have a plan to put red paint on the insides of the alloys spokes but i ended up hurryin to get them fitted. Was think of buying some red rim tape for them but im not sure. The front badge is gettin blackened and im gonna copy mk5 gti grill with the red at the bottom

They look hella lighter than those! Is the flash about 2" from the car

Be interesting to see what you mean by like the mk5 for the bottom of the grill as it's not a clear distinct lineage to follow for the mk4 grille? Remember subtle is sometimes more

yeah, just a thin red line along top of bumper, just where it creases into the grill, with badge blacked i think itll look cool

i'll have to take some decent pics with proper camera, everytime i go for it i can never find it and end up usin my mobile!
