Hi, despite what looks like being standard on a Mk4 150T GTI, the car that I've just got doesn't have a 6 disk CD Changer, as I believe they should be one in left cubby within the boot
Am wondering what my options are, will the wiring already exist in situ so that I can get a 6 disk changer off ebay or from a scrappy.
Otherwise can I get a head unit that will take more than 1 disk, but that fits in the the standard width/height slot.
I've not had much experience with ICE, so please bear with me.
Thanks for any advice.
Regards
Kula

I'm waiting for my new head unit, tbh mate, ur better off getting one that can play MP3's. That way, you can burn a CD with like 150 tracks on one disk, so you only need 1-5 in the car!!
More songs then you would get on the whole stack of the 6 in the cd changer lol!!!

Thanks for the reply, it's more like having a disk for the kids, a couple for wife and a couple for me, as nobody else like my taste

Ahhh man thats painful!!! Well, look around the, from the sounds of it, wherever you got the car, they may of taken the CD Changer. Look on Ebay, or go down a scrappy, if ya lucky you may find one. But the wiring must be there if they normally come with one standard, one of these guys will be able too give you better advice then me lol!!!

It was an optional extra
for the price you'll pay I'd get a decent MP3 playing unit so you can store the majority of your tracks on one CD or buy one with iPhone, USB etc connectivity
Upside is you'll get improved sound quality as the standard headunit produces very little power

rhyso, what speakers are best too buy for the car, too replace the ones in the door, they sound good quality as it is, but im pretty sure you can buy louder ones, normal standard ones dont have that much of an output??

Thread spamming again?
Aftermarket speakers produce a better sound that the nasty tinny standard ones! Look at Infinity or JBL.
Power or volume depends on your amp, be that a seperate one or the headunit.
