Hey guys,
first post and it's a longshot! Basically, I've just purchased a VW Golf 2.0 SDi, 5dr black. Admittedly I should have researched before purchasing it but alas I didn't. The car just doesn't pick up as 'fast' as I want it to. I'm no boy racer but this car feels sluggish (75BHP) where as I'm used to a Peugeot 206 (90BHP).
I'm really regretting this purchase as the car is perfect but not as fast as I want it to be. Are there any mods that can be done to the car to at least make it reasonable by my standards of 'fast' ? And how much is it likely to cost?
Thanks in advance!

Not a lot you can

Oh, I mean I've looked around and I can get it remapped from 75BHP to 87BHP (which would mimmick the power of my old Peugeot 206 which was 90BHP). However, I've also read that there are other things that should be done before getting a remap - but I was unable to find out what these mods should be

there isn't a lot you can do with the SDI lumps there were basicly desinged to be uber economical but slow, and cheep to run for old people who wanted a golf.
sell it and buy a TDI even the 90 BHP TD's area hell of a lot more pokey than a tweeked 75BHP SDI

Hmm,
how much you reckon I could get for it?
- 57 (2007)
- 56,000 miles
- black
- 5dr
- 2.0l
- good condition etc etc ...any rough estimations?

if you only just bought it you should know how much it cost.

look on pistonheads, ebay, autotrader etc to get a price then stick it in the classifieds and get a 90BHP like me lol
-
sell it for what you bought it for, or try a bit more lol then yer get a 90bhp one and remap that, prob give ya around 110bhp maybe?

Yeah, that looks like my best bet. I was thinking of returning it to CarGiant and getting a 1.9TDI
Could someone tell me what the difference between this:
1.9 TDi 105 Match 5 Dr Hatch 2007 (07) and a 2.0 SDI S is? Mainly what I'm looking to find out is the difference between the 'S' and 'Match' tag that I see Golfs have.

S and Match are trim/feature level designations. E is basic, S, SE and i think its GTI, etc after that.

sell it privately mate, will get much more for it.
