Title: Superchips
Post by: Dan_GTI on 01 February 2011, 21:02
cut a long question short,

are superchips worth the mahoosive £400 mark? ive sold the 1.8t and bought a PD150 and i dont want it remapping because i dont wanna change the clutch down the line, id be happier with a switchable map maybe a bluefin? do they actually piggyback the ECU or are they all controlled from the diagnostics port. hopefully someone out there has one plugged in and can convince me to get one

bluefin actually writes the software to your car, its a simple mapping tool really when you break it down. you don't have to leave it plugged in or anything

Check this company out for switch units
DNA Tuning
 http://www.dnatuning.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=188&Itemid=341

They do a switch box which can hold your stock maps and 2 tuned maps, which could be a basic spec 1 remap with light torque or a stronger map with a stronger torque band.

We are the Leicestershire Dealer for DNA remaps, along with Revo Remap, Fusion Remaps and our own remaps, so if you need the DNA switch unit we can get one sorted out for you.
