Title: painting engine bays

Has anyone got any advice for painting my engine bay ?
Dos and donts also my car is a deep purple so what colour should I paint it ?

paint it whatever you fancy.. im going to paint my mk2's bay once the lump has been removed.. not sure on colour but am just going to rub it all back.. prime it and then just a top coat..

Yeah engine will be out think I may paint my block and finish polishing the inlet manifold while its out may do the bay a banana yellow lol so undercoat then just a normal coat of paint for you then ?

yer nothing fancy.. just not sure on what colour to go with might go gloss black on my royal blue car.. for a slight contrast..

Satin black is a good choice.

I always like cream, it really brightens up the bay, although you do then need to keep the engine clean...

yellow bay with purple paint think it will look good to be honest and then the engine all black with polished inlet

I no boring been done before but its my car haha
