Title: my car won't go into reverse

can anyone help me my car won't go into reverse with the gear stick but all the other gears are fine but when you move it with the shifter on top of the gear box with someone pushing down on the gear stick it will go straight into reverse gear ?

gear linkage proberbly need adjusting.

have a look at that will generally show you how to do it, cant say ive ever done it, but doesent look too hard, and people have said it isnt too hard of a job to do.

yeah i have tried that now got all the gears back in, did a test drive in it and i lost reverse again i think the linkages are slipping well they must be :sad:

ok all sorted now all it was is a missing surclip on the cable that attach's to a bracket on the gear box  :tongue: thanks for the guide on how to set it up again was perfect
