Title: Does a MK5 04 1.6 FSI have a cambelt?
Post by: monkey74 on 01 February 2011, 19:01
Took my car into VW for health check, long list of things to be done including cambelt and waterpump change.  Quoted lots of money so went to local garage who specialise in VW work and they now tell me my car does not have a cambelt it has a chain and no point in changing if it works!  I am confused, can anybody please tell me if my car has a cambelt or not, for ref it is a MK5 04 plate 1.6 FSI SE.

Very confused now!
