hi i can get a 130k g60 engine complete for silly money !!!
question is how hard to fit ??
i persume it bolts straight in it just the wiring thats the pain in da arse
cheers del

Pretty much bolts in, wiring and ecu wil be needed.
Old tech engine and the blowers are very weak plus expensive to rebuild.
-
cheers wayne thought it was an easy job
i just love the sound of a charger m8 n too old for big power lol

Yep but they need lots of love and rebuilds are not cheap, old tech charger now.

i know they are dated now but was planning on a full rebuild n bottom end work anyway m8 and i believe theres a fella in the states who makes better chargers
would like to go 1.8t conversion but it seems so is everyone else
and for £300 complete i think im getting a good deal

Jabbasport know the chargers really well.

slap a large eaton TVS on it. better still use a 16v head
-
An eaton m45 works well on this. Get it on g60 management or go megasquirt. MS is fully mappable by yourself or someone that knows or the g60 management will need a chip. IIRC
-
M45 is cheep but a bit to small the M62 is a much better matched and longer lived in said appliction also more efficent due to lower rpm required for same airflow
-
M45 is only really suited for up to a 1.6, as danny said m62 is the better bet.
-
It will still give around 170hp on these. Could get you running until you want more boost. Only thing is, they produce quite a bit of heat in the process. It's been done also without reducing compression on standard 2L 8v at low boost. This ideally needs better engine control with standalone PCM.
M62 will give more output with less heat. Not keen on the whining they produce though.

thanks guys for advice
looks like im picking engine up next weekend then straight down me m8s workshop to get it cleaned and stripped down ready to inspect it
so will defo be on your cases so i can get it done right 1st time lol

a mate of mine did this to his mk3 years ago.
