Title: hydraulic clutch on mk1 1.8t

done all the mounts and fabrication work for the master cylinder to connect to the actual pedal , and all the clutch lines , came to bleed it and it wont come through to the slave cylinder on the gearbox , do i neeed a resovoir the clutch fluid, currently i have a long pipe to a easy bleeding bottle

it should be connected to the brake fluid reservoir with a pipe, if its too far find one in scrapper and mount it close to the cylinder. look for a wee pot, and a nice bracket with handy mouniongs. something off a bike would be ok

got a resoivoir on it now  but for some reason it wont bleeed , i got both mk4 master cylinder and slave cylinder , and mk4 piping , it doesnt seem to be getting muchfluid to the slave cylinder , not sure what sup with it any ideas ?

does it have that non-return valve thing inline with the piping, maybe its something to do with that

the one from the master to the slave. might be worth a look at the line to check its not kinked anywhere? other than that maybe the slave cylinder nipple is gunked up, can happen if someone doesnt replace the rubber cap

all pipes fine , the master cylinder with the little tube coming off it which goes to the resovoir , is that mounted so its pointing down towards the floor or up ,

should be up, so fluid can run down into it from the pot by gravity alone. if you're using a pressure bleeder though it shouldnt make any difference to the amount of fluid thats coming out of the slave?  take the nipple out completly and make sure the little bleed holes in it arnt blocked
