Title: brake pads

hi,need some info on the brake pads.when i got the car it had no brakes but came with a whole new set up,brake disc's front and rearer,calipers front and rearer,brake pads and braided brake lines.it has the 38 rearer calipers and 54 front brake calipers.what i need to know is do the brake pads just sit on the caliper mount and just float or is there a pad retaining spring that holds both pads in place once the caliper is fitted.any info would be great.cheers dave

they just float, there are no retaining pins :)
