Title: Crackling noise and sparking at distributor cap???

Hi all

Trying to solve a mystery... Pulled the bonnet with engine ticking over and there was a crackling noise, on closer inspection there was a sparking where the end of lead meets the centre  plug in the distributor cap, it was also sparking at the other end of the lead also,forgot what's that's plugged into....

Any ideas guys??? :wink:

Sounds like the dizzy king lead, try making sure its firmly connected at both ends, try pulling it off and make sure it snaps back in properly

You can actually see it arcing at both ends of the lead?

Cracked dizi cap or faulty coil lead.

as above something is bust, just buy a new cap, arm plugs and leads:
