Title: Power loss

Hello all

I'm new to the forum and I'm jumping straight in with a problem I hope someone can help me with.

I own a 1988 8v GTi (PB, Digifant). However after some engine damage I replaced the Head and Block with a 1985 8v engine (K-jetronic?). It did run really well, quicker than the orginal. But now it sounds fine, no obvious mis fire, but it has a serious lack of get up and go.

I have cleaned and replaced all the filters, spark plugs checked and it has brand new injectors.

Any help will be much appreiciated

Check ignition timing and fuel mixture.

PB with digifant, dont  they use a knock sensor?. Are you using the PB distributor?. Steve.
