Title: part number query ... arches

hi guys ive got a mk2 gti 8v digi   the drivers side arch trim is snapped and i sources a replacement came off a car that looked almost identical  mine is a 90 spec car with the smaller door trims and so was the car the new arch came off (as far as i could tell from the pictures anyway ...


the arch trim i have thats snapped has the part number

191853718c

the one i got as a replacement is

191853817c

what arch have i bought ? :(

I think... now dont quote me on this but that the one you have bought is a g60 arch

Looks like a standard GTi Trim. The part codes for the G60 trims end in "D".

Ok so

191853718c is

1990-1992 golf
1986-1991 golf, syncro, ralle, country
1988-1991 jetta, syncro
1990-1992 jetta, syncro

1918537817c is

1990-1992 golf
1990-1992 jetta, syncro

not sure they will ive only got half of it ...   i think its a pre 90 spec arch

those are 90spec GTI arches, not G60. 191853718c is right hand front, 191853717c is left hand front

well ....  its a rear arch ... lol  didnt realise till i was looking at it wondering why it wouldnt fit ...   :@  i drove all the way up to northampton services  having asked the bloke for the drivers side front arch and he sold me a rear ...  it was dark and cold when i met him at the services and i was in a different car lol

the bloke i got them off  had another guy interested in the rears and just brought the wrong ones he is gonna post out the ones i actually want
