How easy is it to remove these and replace with new ones. I only ask because it looks like they have warped and buckled over time. Also, is there chance I might run into some problem by doing this....i.e. rust.
Thanks

Few screws and the rest slide or pull off.

Thanks for the reply Len. Is there chance of a rust build up under the skirts when I take them off? Also, do VW still make these or is there somewhere I go buy some from? ie like a parts shop or something.
Thanks again for the reply.

The top thin strip will just pull off, then as Len said 8 screws along the bottom of the plastic trim to remove then these just slide apart to remove. Then there is another thin strip which is bonded to the car, if you are replacing the trim then you can leave this. There is a chance there will be rust under the plastic as the trim holds the water, depends how long they have been damaged. I completely removed mine and was very lucky that the sills were immaculate underneath.

From most I have heard of the sills are always fine.

Its usually the thin outer strip that rusts.
ECP (Eurocarparts) should have stock of the parts you need.

Top Dollars. Thanks everyone for the replies. I'm sure I will find rust under there because they are bulged at the ends and bent out of shape. I just bugs me thinking there might be rust under there. I will look at euro parts. Thanks again.
