Title: Down AND Out???

 Right, I'm trying to get a decent stance on my car, I've got 18's on with 20mm spacers on the back and the wheels slightly protrudes the arch, so I guess that's the OUT bit, but if I want to go lower the wheel will be rubbing the arch, unless I remove the spacers (or get a bit of stretch?)
 So, what do you guys do???

ive caught the paint abit on o/s rear arch abit so  iam thinking stretch tyre too as the 20mm stance is sweet

It's a hard look to achieve with wheels of the same width but can be done,the problem is that the smallest tyre in 18inch is a 205 and they don't come cheap,well over £100 each iirc.

If I had 9j on the back it's only the same as 8j with a 1" spacer isn't it? They'll still poke the same.
I'll have to wind them down a bit more I think and experiment!

No,they would poke the same but you can stretch a tyre more on a 9J than you can with an 8J,this stretch allows you to go lower without rubbing.
