Ive just purchased my first gti golf and to add my own touches to the car id like to lower it 30mm all round to sit over my 18's.
What would the best kit be to go for without breaking the bank lol.
Also with the mot comin up shortly will lowering the car end up with fail?
Thanks David.

best bet would be coilovers as you can take vit higher or lower, prob with springs is that you only get 1 height so if you aint happy then more of a hassle of replacing the springs, coilovers start from £150

Thanks mate for the info i will have to have a look round the net and see whats about. Havent used coilovers before not to sure how they work.

Don't just change springs. Standard shocks will fail in no time. As above for your amount of drop, a shock spring combo will suit. Plus as you seem to not know much about this, you wont want to be messing about with drop links and risk rubbing on the ARB.
