i hope u can help me i have a mk 2 gti k reg 12 months mot 64000 miles some history tornado red 3 dr electric mirrors with the late tweed trim what would it be worth thanks

Mk II's only went up to J reg. A K reg would make it an early Mk III. No idea about value though..... Try http://www.parkers.co.uk/

If it was a late registered one it could be a K plate, but it doesn't mean it was one of the last made, just one of the last to be put on the road (cos they were waiting to buy a mk3 muppets :laugh:)

Makes a difference if its 8v or 16v.

8v in mint condition with full VW service history ?1750ish, anything else than mint (just good) and it'd be around ?1400 but most people paying that money will be looking to get a 16v. Might even struggle to get that for it. Like all sales you've gotta find someone that really wants it!

16v and I reckon you're talking about adding another ?500-?700 on top but again it has to be really mint.

no its definatly a mk 2 it is an 8 valve body work has a few dinks and marks on

It needs to have 15" BBS RAs to get a reasonable price.Anything else such as leccy windows, heated leccy mirrors always help push the price up a bit.
My guess would be around ?1400-1500 as Red aint the most popular colour (please lets not start the colour debate again :rolleyes:)

Unless it's got leather in which case write your own cheque :laugh:

 :smiley: I have a MK2 K Plate 16v In top condition full electrics turns so many heads of vw drivers as they all look twice @ the k reg bit"!! Mine is one of the last made aswell so it wasn't sat around 4 too long

mint 8v's dont really go for big money

most people who are willing to pay big money for mk2's are looking for 16v's

if you throw some pics up then we'll give you a better idea on price.
