Title: drivers seat not locking back into original position!!!!!

i've got a 3 door MK6 so i have to lift and move my seat forward to let people in the back, however i've noticed that now when i put the seat back it doesn't lock back into its original place and i have to keep adjusting it every time. this is all since i've had the inside cleaned so they have probably clicked or nudged something the wrong way. does anyone know how i can fix this because its become very annoying!

Post by: Jimble on 29 January 2011, 23:36: Hello mate, if your moving the seat "back" into it's upright position before sliding the base backwards then it will lock in that position. in other words the base needs to be slid back before the upright pushed back if that makes sense? :undecided:

Slide back the base fully before making the back rest upright.

Post by: flc1962 on 30 January 2011, 10:21: Its not funny, a few people have done that in the passanger seat, put the back up then tried to force the seat back. I always reach over now to stop them.... Well it is funny cause it hurts them but I get the blame lol...

i get that but thats not the problem, when the upright is down and i push the base back it shoud lock/stop in the position it was before but it dosent, it slides all the way back to the end of the run so i have to sit in it and adjust it again! any ideas?
