would a mk5 back box fit mk4 are are thay diffrent

It wont fit.

The mk5 backbox goes across the back of the car like the 4motion mk4.

if youre searching for an exhaust for your car it must be from the mk4 chassis.
therefore you need to search for cars that share the same chassis.
ect,
mk1 octavia
mk1 leon (not cupra R)
new beetle
mk1 audi a3
you may need bumper alterations to make these exhausts fit.
