Title: I GOT MAPPED!

Got my car remapped this morning by Ecotech Performance, and after blowing 2 coil packs, I'm pushing out just over 200bhp! The difference is like night and day! The GTi's should of been like this when they came out of the factory! Is it normal for the coil packs to go due to the extra strain on them, due to it being an 80k mileage car? I can stop smiling when I'm driving! Needed to vent out my joy somewhere! :)

It's not until they're mapped that you realise how underpowered the 1.8T is as standard

Yes coilpacks can go, remaps often show up weak or failing parts
