Title: ASR/ESP???
Post by: shagmeister on 25 February 2005, 22:04
Hi just a quick question, instead of my ESP button being label as such it is labelled ASR.  Is it the same thing?  If i turn it off i get the same lights on the dash and it works as traction, whats the difference if any or have i got a german switch in me console??  ta shagmeister

might be different.

having read foxy's guide on installing cruise control it mentions that some cars just have traction control (which may be ASR), other cars have stability control (which is definitely labelled ESP)

sorry to confuse matters  :undecided:

Just got off me fat arse and searched, the ASR is anti-slip regulation.  Was esp standard in the 2002 gti pd??
