Does also depend alot on the dirver of either car, when my car was mapped I used to take out allsorts but at times I was pretty sure the other drivers amy not have had the bottle or just more sense at the time.
If your gonna race then make sure it's on private land or on a race track WINK WINK :grin:

my gttdi 150 can beat a type r but mines has been remaped :evil:

a civic type r can never beat a pd150 mapped or not you guys are off your head. maybe it wud upto 80 mph but if they were both doign 90 and the tyre r went for it the golf wud be nowhere to be seen

Petrols definatly have the advantage top end, my tdi was good upto around 80-90 mark but tailed off around then, the cupra i now own keeps going strong as hell all the way upto 140 mark, was done a race track of course.
