Title: Gti Headlights for standard mk3
Post by: cranked on 27 January 2011, 08:34
Hi guys,

I`m in the process of buying some mk3 gti headlights to up grade my standard ones currently on my estate project.

i`ve seen somewhere they come with fog lights built in, is this right? (will i need a fog light switch etc?)

also do i need anything else to convert the lights over?

Cheers
Andy

Fog lamps built in are mk4 style, standard GTI headlamps don't have fogs in, they are in the front bumper.

Standard GTI headlights do not have a built in fog light Mate. They are dual chamber, one is side lights and flash beam and the other is driving lights. Straight swap just check the connector on the back as there are two different sorts.

but you can simply replace the short wiring loom (from light to connector on the front panel) for twin lights do dont worry about the plugs being different
