Title: 2000 GOLF 1.8T 20V AUM MISSING!

WHEN I PUT MY FOOT DOWN IT FEELS LIKE THE CAR IS MISSING! AND JUMPING REVS! ALSO I HAVE NOTICED A TICKING NOISE FROM THE CAMBELT COVER PLUS A BUZZING NOISE BY THE TURBO? I THINK THE TICKING IS THE WATER PUMP! CAN ANYONE HELP AS TO WHAT THIS IS!

do you plant your foot down as soon as you get in the car from cold?

So you plant your foot and the revs jump but you go no faster?

That's your clutch slipping

Otherwise if its flat spots then chances are a coil pack has gone

no the clutch aint slipping just had a new one. always allow car to work before driving it hard!
will get the coil pack checked!

I looked at the title of this thread and wondered if you had lost your car.  :grin:



Get it scanned and see if any faults are logged.

+1 on above it will soon fail..
