is it possible to fit 5x112 wheels to a 5x110 hub and what are peoples views on wobble nuts?

Yes as wobble bolts allow a 2mm difference, as long as the center bore is correct you will be fine.

I know of a few people running 5x112 on Vauxhalls with no issues.
