One of the things I think that all TDi owners should do is deffo give it a good blast now and then to prevent sticky vanes, pottering around too much can do the car more harm than good.
A remap is good as it will probably put a nice big smile on your face, that's until something fooks up

why is this worth a read ?
Think it's to get people's attention more than anything, then once he's got your attention you might aswell post kinda thing. Like a play with words to draw you in basically.

you sorted your problem out yet with your MPG?
-
:( no, it's pointing towards sticky vanes as I started to get limp mode, although on Sat on motorway no limp so aint got a sodding clue.
95% just gonna sell up as i've thrown way too much money to try and resolve the MPG issue and it's left a sour taste in my mouth with this car :(
R-tech have a VNT cleaning service for £235 but it's £235 I don't have to spend due to trying out stuff previous to this which didn't resolve my issue :(
Need to find a how to for my door cards so I can get my CDT speakers out before I sell, also the Alpine stereo.

Want better MPG? Get a boost gauge and keep it below 5psi and reep the 65mpg+

How much would I be looking at for one roughly? Are they easily installed by hand. Or better too be done by a garage? Would of thought a Boost Gauge would of used more from the sounds of it lol??

Boost gauge is for measuring the charge pressure and can help identify if you have a problem / boost leak. It doesn't use any fuel......

It just helps you monitor your boost and by keeping an eye on it below 5psi you can get some silly mpg.

Rhyso what gauge is that?
Looks pretty standard and fits in well with the lights on the dash.

I managed to fit mine
Though I ran my boost line in via the door whereas the proper way is through the fuse box. Also having an EGR delete pipe with the take off point for the gauge made it easier too
-
Ok on a standard engine where would it be taken from?
Is it a pain in the behind to get it through where the fuse box is?

Around the same place - basically the main EGR to intercooler pipe
No idea as I've never tried it myself

You can fit it in a few places. Most popular is an A pillar mod. Then you have a steering column one or you can fit into a single din panel
i hacked one of my air vents though as I wanted it to blend in as much as possible

I'm gona buy one when I have the money, if I message you nearer the time Rhys, would you give me some advice with installing it, never done anything too a car myself.
I would probably do it wrong lol!!!
