At first yes, there is a difference. Also replace the gear linkage bushes, after a while I got used to the feel of the weighted rod and it felt as sloppy as before - but I never got round to changing the bushes.

they on their way from vwspares along with annual service stuffs

left to right is sloppy

Definately!

Do complete linkage overhaul and get weighted link.......you'll realise the difference after!!!

Wieghted shift rods are awesome. Av got one, also swaped bushes out for poly ones is what they look like. Its a nice feel on the gear change

Is it much of a job to change all the bushes? My gearchange is horrible and tight and sometime a pain in the ass due to the short shift

i found it quite easy, bit of a fiddle to get the split pins out holding in my shift rod, but wasnt too hard.

i had only been driving stick for only a couple months when i changed mine..
took me 5 min tops and i definately noticed a changed.. (for the better)

dunno why this really matters since everyone is pretty much in agreement.. but i figured id share my opinion haha  :rolleyes:
