The weather has been an absolute howler since I took delivery at the end of Nov. I'm pretty pleased with the results for an amateur - so thanks to Chris at Waxamomo for the advice on products.

Nice, were the rear L.E.D `S standard fit on yours ?

Thanks for the positive comments guys.
I've got to admit that I was always a bit of a Halfords man before now - chucking any old things in my basket without ever giving any thought to what products I should be buying to compliment each other and I used a sponge on my cars up to now
The stuff I bought was always at the budget end of the market as well and I was generally left frustrated trying to buff off various cheap products with old T-shirts etc!
Thanks to the advice on this forum on techniques, Chris at Waxamomo on products and being able to pour over the wealth of information in the previous posts you knowledable people have left, I was able to move this on a level and get some decent results on my new car. I understand now that investing a bit of cash in some decent stuff including cloths and applicators etc etc actually saves time & money in the longer term.
My Mk6 is definitely a keeper so I'm determined to do the right thing by her!
Hi Simon - yes my car did come with the rear LEDs included from the factory. I'm loving your signature by the way. The 3 door is definitely sexier, especially with your wheels. I regret not getting them now but it had to stop somewhere.

What products have you used on it then ?,i`ve started using dodo juice purple haze pro wax on mine, its pretty good and very easy to use just waiting for a warm dry day so i can apply another coat.

The car looks spot on, wish mine looked that clean  It will do once we get a nice day though

Can't beat a clean black GTI.

I always meant to come back to this but kept getting sidetracked.
I used Dodo Juice basics wax-safe wash, followed by Dodo Juice Lime Prime to polish, then a coat or two of Purple Haze wax to finish off.
It's needing a good clean again but we've heavy snow forecast for the weekend again. Hopefully won't come to anything though.
