Title: Whens the 2nd major service due?

My Golfs sitting at 57020 miles just now, had a minor service last year at 47049 in February 2010. I thought the car would tell you when it was required?


Just looked and it said to bring in at 57000 miles, bit odd that the computer within the car hasnt highlighted this.


What kind of coin am I looking at this with the dealer to get this done.

I spoke to my main dealer Friday they quoted me £269.00 for a major service but beware they don't do much for that price.  Oil change and spark plug change, they wanted an extra £70.00 for brake fluid change and £80.00 to change the pollen filters :grin:.  Needless to say I declined their offer.  Major service should be at about 60k, have you had the cam belt done on yours yet if not they will want to do that.
